By giving, they become dear and many resort to them. They attain good reputations and their fame increases. The generous ones are composed and confidently enter the assembly... By giving gifts… when they are settled in the triple heaven, for a long time they delight in the companionship with the devas... Having fulfilled the word of the unattached Stable One (asitassa), the Fortunate One (sugato)'s disciples rejoice in heaven. (AN 5.34)
